Homecoming

Seems like just yesterday I was waking up in Harlem and today I’m waking up in sunny SoCal.  It seems like just yesterday because it was yesterday.  After four long weeks we’re finally back home!

I feel like I’m suddenly 65 years old. Not a spry, spunky 65... a long in the tooth, haggard, run down 65 that walks slowly, like I may have soiled myself.  I keep telling myself this is only temporary.  I can tolerate anything that’s temporary.

It feels so good to come home to all that is familiar.  Most importantly, it feels so good to come home to such wonderfully kind friends.  The bright beautiful smiles that walk through the front door to say hello warm my heart.  I’ve missed everyone so much.  The hardest part is not being able to run right up to them and throw my arms around them and give the a super mega squeeze!  What can I say?  I’m a hugger.  Always have been, always will be.

I’m tired and my body wants some rest.  Good to be home.

Xoxo,

Inger
