Always Back to Blue

It’s crazy, but no matter where I venture off to with my color palette when I’m painting, I’m always drawn back to the blues.  I’ve often thought it’s because I grew up in Santa Barbara, California and spent countless hours by, in, or on the ocean.  It’s those coastal blues that bring me comfort and a sense of calm in our fast-paced world.  Maybe it’s simply the fact that my favorite color is blue.  I mean, come on, why over complicate it?  I love the way it makes me feel so I’ll make no apologies or excuses for always going back.  And really, why should I waste my time contemplating why I go back?  I’m just going to go…
